Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of March 15-22.

• Christopher Warren, 54, 119 Waldorf St., Rayville; public intimidation of a police officer, battery of a police officer, damage to property and disturbing the peace (general).

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of six traffic citations this week. That number includes two for speeding, two for expired tags and one each for driving under suspension and improper backing with an accident.

Southern Grace entertains Saints Alive group

Saints Alive, a ministry of First Baptist Church, held its monthly meeting of the season Feb. 24.

Saints Alive meets during the months of September through May. Anyone 50 or over is invited to join. Membership dues are $10 per person for the year. We have delicious meals, wonderful Christian entertainment and ministry and the best fellowship ever. Come for a visit, and then if you would like to join you are most welcome.

• Willie Ellis, 42; 418 Pine Street, Rayville;

simple battery.

• Alexa Wyatt, 26; 75 Kny Road, Delhi;

loitering and simple possession of synthetic marijuana

• Hunter Gautreaux, 19; 38722 Redbud Lane, Denham Springs; simple possession of Schedule I, possession of Schedule II and simple possession of Schedule IV.

• Courtney Armstrong, 33; 501 Martin Luther King Drive, Rayville; shoplifting.

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of March 1-8.

•  Glenda Jackson, 34 19 Bunnitt Road, Rayville; damage to property greater than $300.

• Darrer Scott, 47, 114 McVicker St., Marion; armed robbery and home invasion.

• Johnathan Scott, 25, 407 Sunflower St., Bastrop; armed robbery and home invasion.

• Alexis Johnson, 32, 5 Cherry St., Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).

Clerk of court, deputy clerk attend institute

Richland Parish Clerk of Court Stacie Williamson and Chief Deputy Melissa Morris attended the Louisiana Clerks of Court Association’s 62nd session of the Clerks of Court Institute Feb. 11-14 in Lafayette.

 The institute provides continuing education and professional development for clerks and deputy clerks of court. It is designed to meet the certification requirements of the LCCA. Melissa Morris has met all requirements and is now a certified chief deputy clerk of court.
