Shortly after 4:15 p.m. July 13, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a fatality crash on Louisiana Highway 577 near Hurt Road.
This crash claimed the life of 28-year-old Timothy LaBorde of Oak Grove.
Five Richland Parish students have earned academic honors during the spring semester at Northwestern State University.
Ashley Davis of Delhi and Dafney Templeton of Rayville were among 761 students named to the Spring 2020 President’s List at Northwestern State University. Students on the list earned a grade point average of 4.0.
The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of July 5-12.
• Thaddeus Autman, 36; 214 Cotton St., Rayville; simple battery.
• James Templeton, 34; 304 Hayes St., Rayville; criminal mischief.
• Anthony Qualls, 38; 312 Fontana Road, Monroe; unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling and resisting arrest by false information.
• Ta’Keyla Barker, 20; 204 Britton St., Rayville;
damage to property less than $100.
The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of June 29 through July 5.
• Jasper Marzett, 32; Louisa St., Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting.
• Matthew Davis, 32; 6351 Hwy. 80 Lot 3, Rayville; no driver’s license and careless operation with an accident.
• Cashannon Martinez, 24; 105 Loy St., Apt 5, Rayville; simple battery.
• Glenda Jackson, 34; 19 Bunnitt Road, Rayville; driving under suspension and speeding.

• Amanda West, 32; 214 Dacron St., Rayville; disobedience to a police officer, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace (general).
• Amber Weed, 41; 504 Spencer St., Apt 5, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).
• Ebon Dorman, 43; 504 Spencer St., Apt 5, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).
• ShaDerica McMillon, 19; 209 Quail St., Rayville; damage to property.
