Haley Salsbury successfully won the state titles in the 3200 race, 1600 race and 800 MM race May 4 at the 3AAA State Meet in at Jackson Prep in Jackson, Miss. She placed first overall in all three races over all other divisions. DCS 4x400 Relay team

J’quan Polly, Kolton Kelley, Donovan Wells and Jeffrey Williams took third place in the 4x400 meter relay with a new school record of 3:29.17.

DCS medals at state track meet

The Delhi Charter School Track team brought home eight Medals and broke nine school records May 3 at the LHSAA State Track Meet held at Bernie Moore Track Stadium on the campus of LSU.
DCS Seniors to medal were:
• Chester McDaniel, third place, long jump;
• Anna Beth Raley, third place, 800 meter run (with a new school record of 2:26.08);
• Destiny Hargrove, third place, 200 meter dash (with a new school record of 26.01) and fifth in the 100 meters;

Tiger Rock students give back to community

Students and staff from Stephenson’s Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Rayville and Winnsboro participated in walking the dogs at Patrick’s Pals Animal Rescue of Winnsboro April 27.

Tiger Rock takes pride in participating in local activities and organizations that contribute back into the community and appreciates any opportunity that arises to give back.

They view community outreach as an important aspect of being a leader and overall good citizen.

Winnsboro bank buys RSB Mangham branch

Winnsboro State Bank Winnsboro, and Business First Bank, Baton Rouge, jointly announced May 7 their entry into an agreement by which WSB will acquire the Mangham, Louisiana branch of Business First Bank, which it recently acquired in connection with the acquisition of Richland State Bank. 

Following the transaction, WSB will operate from four branch locations in Franklin and Richland parishes. 

Business First Bank will continue to operate its remaining 24 locations across the state and in the Dallas area.

• Talerica Cowart, 19; 610 Foster St., Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting.
