Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to extend his condolences and sympathies to all who have experienced loss or sickness during this pandemic.

“In one way or another, all of us have been affected by this virus and, as a community, we must all remain vigilant and cautious going forward,” he said. “We must remember to practice all safety measures and maintain social distancing to ensure that we can remain healthy and stop the spread as best we can.”

Chief Robinson would also like to remind everyone to make sure to lock your vehicles and remove any keys from ATVs, lawnmowers or other means of conveyance that you leave outside unattended.

“Our community has seen a recent increase in thefts of vehicles and trailers as of late,” he said. “We have also had numerous vehicle burglaries in our area. Remember to lock your vehicles and remove any valuables that you may have left inside of them.

“We must all work together and present a strong unified front in the face of all of the adversities that we are and will experience in the days to come.

“Rest assured the Rayville Police Department will remain on call and will respond expediently to ensure that our community remains safe during these trying times.”
