Holly Ridge Happenings

Rest is a weapon given to us by God! The enemy hates it because he want to to be stressed and occupied! Thank God fo the seasons of Rest and Refreshing. God will carry you through the storm. Nothing that has happened to you is a surprise to God. God will still get you to where your are supposed to be.

Holly Ridge Happenings

If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. -- 2 Chronicles 7:14

Visiting with Terry and Denise over the weekend was Terrah Johnson, Emalynn and grandson, Hudson, from Shreveport. They came over and visited with me on Saturday. I did enjoy them.

Ships don’t sink because of the water around them. Ships sink because of the water that gets inside of them. Moral of the story, don’t let what is happening around you, get inside of you and weigh you down.

Our love and prayers go out to all who are on our church prayer list and we do have several.

I will praise You, Oh Lord today. You are my good Father, my good Shepard, my amazing Savior who gave Your very life to save me from death.

Once a man was asked, “What did you gain by regularly praying to God?”

The man replied, “Nothing, but let me tell you what I lost: Anger, ego, greed, depression, insecurity and fear of death. Sometimes, the answer to our prayers is not gaining but losing; which ultimately is the gain.”

Worry is a conversation you have with yourself about things you cannot change. PRAYER is a conversation you have with God about things HE can change.

Christ over viruses and infectious diseases

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” -- Josua 1:9.

Here one day last week was Kelsie Clake from Lafayette and friend Carrie from Shreveport. Short visit, of course, but as usual, better than none at all. Right?
