Crew Lake United Methodist Women meet

The United Christian Methodist Women of Crew Lake Methodist Church met Nov. 14 for their Thanksgiving meal. 

Lillian Whiten led in prayer and blessing. Then the meal of turkey,dressing, ham and all the trimmings was served. 

The husbands were invited. Those attending were Mikey Whitten,  Bill Brown, Greg Pickens and Laynnn Word. The ladies present were Dianne Williams, Frances Goodson, Margie Ross, Angie Pickens, Connie Word, Lilliam Whitten, Brenda Duffey, Sue Duffy, Melva Gilbert, Joan Brown, Rachel Stephenson, and Emma Jo Sullivan.  

Boeuf River, NSDAR learns about history

Bouf River Chapter, NSDAR, met November 18, 2019 in the Richland Parish Library with Mary Pruitt as hostess.

Memembers enjoyed delicious refreshments and a social time before the program. Regent Mary Griffin called the meeting to order. Program Chairman Jody Waller introduced Carolyn Calloway, American History Teacher at Riverfield Academy. Emphasis on American History is one of our aims. Carolyn had been teaching for approximately 20 years. 

Saints Alive observe 35th anniversary

Saints Alive, a ministry of First Baptist Church, met for their monthly meeting of the season Oct. 28. 

Saints Alive meets during the months of September through May. Anyone 50 or over is invited to join. Membership dues are $10 per person for the year. We have delicious meals, wonderful Christian entertainment/ministry and the best fellowship ever. Come for a visit, and then if you would like to join you are most welcome.
