God has Given Us

Eyes, not to judge others but to look beyond situations. A mouth, not to criticize but to speak the truth. Ears, not to sensitize but to listen and believe and aid those in pain, Hands, not to punish, but to give a helping hand. Everything, God gave us has its purpose. Use them for the greater glory of the LORD.

Coming by one day this week were Freeman and Diane McLemore from Monroe. It had been awhile since he had been here. Was so good to see them!

Holly Ridge Happenings

With His Hand on My Shoulder

With His hand on my shoulder I sail a sea of sin.

With His hand on my shoulder I cannot help but win.

I’ll follow as He pilots me through waters dark and cold.

With His Hand on my shoulder I know I’ll reach my goal.

My every hope is anchored to the faith I have in Him.

I know I’ll reach the shoreline though at time the lights are dim.

He’ll take me past the rocky cliffs and from the life’s storm I’ll be released.

With His hand on my  shoulder I’ll have everlasting peace.

Holly Ridge Happenings

There’s an oak tree in the acorn. Never belittle what God has given you. Never believe the lies of the enemy when he says it’s too small. One day in the future, you’ll look back and see just how far God has taken you, and just how  much you’ve grown. Trust the One who makes oak trees out of acorns.

God is not going to rewrite the Bible just for your generation. His word remains the same forever and always.

Love

It isn’t a fairytale or a storybook, and it doesn’t always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define and impossible to live without. Love is work, but most of all Love is realizing that every hour, every minute and every second was worth it because you  did it together.
