Holly Ridge Happenings

Hey! Got a call from Paul and Linda Waston inviting friends and family to Mrs. Pauline Watson’s 95 birthday party! It will be on July 20th 2019 on Saturday at West New Home Church at 1 p.m. It will be catered by Catfish Charies. Let us make this a great day for this very sweet little lady. She truly is loved and greatly deserves a party.

Holly Ridge Happenings

Where can we go that God does not go?

As a Christian, we literally house His Spirit, permanently.

The legalist will say if we sin, He leaves, but that isn’t true.

Sure, before the Cross, God came and went based on righteous behavior and sins being atoned for by animal blood. But now, our sins have been taken away past, present and future by Jesus’ Blood. Yes, even future sins.

All of our sins were in the future when Christ died for them. He’ll never die again, which would be necessary to forgive you again. It is finished.

Holly Ridge Happenings

The eagle does not fight the snake on the ground.

It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground, and then it releases the snake into the sky.The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it it powerful wise and deadly.

Take your fight into the spiritual realm by praying and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes over your battles.

What ever use man makes of the bible, the standards of truth, the standard itself remains fixed, tried, and unimpaired.

When I read a great author, such as Lord Bacon, I find that time has discovered many errors, and rendered obsolete many positions, to be found in that most comprehensive of human minds. But, I see that time can take nothing from the Bible.

Lets not be so quick to expose everybody else’s sin, when God has been so merciful to cover ours.

Everything you go through as a Christian is a training exercise behind which God has a divine purpose.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
