Lord, Raise up the church in America! Use us to conquer the powers of darkness at work in America, in the name of Jesus. Make a commitment to pray daily for a spirit of repentance to come upon the church in the United States. Thank the Lord that His mercy triumphs over judgment. Pray for the healing, peace, and security to come to this nation.

Motoring down to New Orleans on Saturday to attend the Jersey Boys Musical Play at the Sanger Theater was Louise Cater, Alce Cumpton, Betty Jo Gray and her sister, Linda Salter from West Monroe. Enjoyed their “outing,” especially eating at Mendendorf’s.

Coming by the store after the service for Mac Dearman was Jenny Sue Fincher who grew up in our surroundings. Was so very good to see and remember her. It’s been a while since I last saw her.

Congratulations to my great grandson Carter Cheek who received the Star Student Award for the sixth grade at Start School. Go Owls.

Our heartfelt sympathy, love and prayers go out to the families and friends of Bro. Mac Dearman and Mr. Leo Hebert who took their heavenly flight last week. May God bless and care for all who are connected to the sorrow.

Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts. That God has sent to you.
