Holly Ridge Happenings
Today I want to start the day with You on my mind and in my heart. As I dress, let me wear the armor You’ve provided daily; The helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, and the sword of the Spirit with prayer on my tongue. Praise for You and Petitions for those around me and those I meet. Amen!
Down for a visit on Friday was my cousin Don and Ester Sistrunk from Bastrop. We had a good visit to remember years back. You know, some time I think it is good to just think and remember!
Tyler and Ashley Cheek were in New Orleans on Friday to attend a couple of Mardi Gras parades. I think they were relieved to get back to Start, although the parades were very pretty and festive.
My English friend, Sara, sent me another card and says she is to start on yet another road, The Old Spanish Trail, from St. Augustine, Florida to San Deigo. She says she will be on the “back roads” but staying near I-10. What a life!
Saturday, Diane Cobb, Connie Dove, Margie Thomas and I traveled to Shreveport to the home of Denise Cobb for a baby shower for her daughter, Amanda Gurney from Michigan. Its a little girl and she was thrilled to receive so much love and so many gifts!
