Rayville Slowly disappearing building by building

I do not get back HOME to Rayville very often but when I do, I get depressed. It seems that the town as we once knew it is slowing passing away. I noticed the building Mr. Charlie cut hair in so many years is gone, both sides of the street has nothing but empty buildings except for Glovers and the bank and a few more. I wish we could get together and try to get a grant to restore the buildings and bring new buiness in to our city.

TEA PARTS

I enjoyed the “Tea Party” experience last night in lafayette. There were probably three to five hundred people there, many with signs, i.e. Congress what’s in your wallet/ my money…Spread my work ethic, not my money…I’ll keep my guns, money & freedom, you keep the rest…Born free but taxed to death…Don’t spend your children’s future…and speakers with megaphones talking about heartfelt issues. The tone was quiet, calm, non-intrusive, almost an apology for the inconvenience caused, to the point of eeriness.
