Good Will Toward Men

God placed the peace He promised into the hands of man, but man has never kept that peace since endless time began... For man has never understood, either now or then, that peace comes not through battles but “doing good unto all men!” And when we meet with “strangers” on life’s busy thoroughfares, “Be not forgetful that thereby oft angels pass us unawares.”... And when we are at peace with God then only will we find the peace on earth He promised and eternal peace of mind.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men... Galations 6:10

Belated anniversary wishes to Mr. Charles and Mrs. Ellorce Hill who celebrated their 64th on Thanksgiving. Mrs. Ellorce had lunch with Mr. Charles at Colonial Manor then cake and coffee at 2 p.m. Great day!

Their anniversary was really on Nov. 30 but when they were married it was Thanksgiving day so they always celebrate on Thanksgiving.

I can’t believe that one of my favorite teachers, Diann McPherson has retired. Diann was or is a fantastic teacher and I’ll always admire and love her! Best wishes in your retirement McP.!!

Here during the Thanksgiving time were Lee and Melva T. Summers from Siloam Springs, Ark. They were here with Sherman Williams going up to check on the trees on her farm.

Also here during the week were Simmie Delaney and his wife. Can you believe I’m having a “senior” moment and cannot think of her name? Anyway, we had a good visit.

Odis and Francis Bowman were here for their ice cream on Saturday after visiting Bethel Cemetery and placing flowers. I love visiting with them.

Little Miss Ellie Jo Barker spent her Thanksgiving vacation (a week) in Tyler, Texas with her Aunt Sheri Barker. I imagine she did what ever she wanted to with Aunt Sheri.

David Herrington on Dec. 11, Natalie McManus, Charlotte McKnight, Johnnie Jean Sanford, Tony Brock, Carolyn Calloway, Landon Graham Magee (6 years) and yes old Shirley on Dec. 12, Dustin and Lacey Self on Dec. 13, Maddie Senn (10 years) on Dec. 14, Bro. Laverne Inzer (84 years), Rachel Head, Tammie Hough on Dec. 15, my little great granddaughter Ahndi Claire and Glen Mann on Dec. 16, Marigrace Morris and Barbara Vines on Dec. 17. May we all celebrate many more!!

Anniversary wishes to Brenda and Marcus Mann (34 years), Tina and Eric Silk (24 years) on Dec. 15, Geneva and Sherman Williams and June and Dennis Lewis on Dec. 16, Charlotte and Herbert Thomas (53 years) on Dec. 17.
