Raiders vs Adams County

The Raiders stayed unbeaten last Friday night with an 11-10, nine-inning victory over the Rebels from Natchez, Miss.

Adams County led 6-3 after three innings and the Raider home crowd was wondering if their team was having a let down from the night before. Riverfield answered their fans and tied the game at 7-7 after six innings on home runs by Logan Moore and Chase Cater.

The game went into extra frames and ACCS went ahead 10-7 in the top of the eighth on a three-run homer by Jake Brumfield. The Raiders came right back in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 10-10 on a three-run double by Corbin Cater.

The Raiders held Adams County in the top of the ninth and Riverfield's Kyle King led off the Raider ninth with this third double of the game. Kyle Booth walked and the Rebels intentionally walked Logan Moore to load the bases.

Riverfield's Jason Jarette calmly stepped up and drove in King with the winning run.

King pitched the entire nine-inning game for the Raiders, scattering eight hits and striking out 13 hitters.

Riverfield's record improves to 7-0 with the win.
