Posted February 3rd, 2010
A Rayville man has been arrested for armed robbery.
Dameon D. Murray, 23, of 106 Ancestry St., Rayville, was charged with one count of armed robbery following an investigation by the Rayville Police Department.
He was booked into the Richland Parish Detention Center and held under $100,000 bond.
Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson said the charges stem from the July 22, 2009 armed robbery of Tobacco Express.
“During the robbery, a lone male entered the store with a handgun and demanded money,” Robinson said. “The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash and fled the scene.”
Robinson and Investigator Tamario Turner were able to develop information pertaining to the case Jan. 29 which led to Murray’s being charged with the crime.
