Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind motorists to drive safely and to follow all traffic laws.
Be sure to observe all posted speed limits. Be sure that you wear your seat belt, but also that your passengers wear their seat belts. Be sure to come to a complete stop at stop signs and red lights. Be sure to use turn signals when making a turn. Be alert and watchful of other vehicles on the road and pedestrians on the road. And please be mindful of children playing in residential neighborhoods who might run out unexpectedly into the road.
“By following these simple guidelines, you can avoid the heartache and hassle associated with traffic accidents and the expense associated with traffic citations,” the chief said. “Observing traffic laws is just one way of keeping our community safe for all citizens. With law enforcement officers, city officials and citizens all working together, Rayville can be the kind of place where you can be proud to live.”
