Livestock Show events underway

The 4-H program hosted Horse Events in conjunction with the 70th annual Northeast Louisiana Livestock Show Jan. 30 in the Horse Barn in Delhi.

The English Walk Trot and Dressage events started at 9 a.m. and were followed by the Western Showmanship, Western Walk Trot and Western Horsemanship events.
The competitors in “Under 13” were Macie Clark, Isabella Dawson, Alana Florice, Clint Hargrave, Lindsey Hebert, Kirsten Hendry and Camille Watts.

The “14 & Over” competitors were Samantha Tate, Chelsea Keene and Katie Vining. The “High Points” winners in “Under 13” were Macie Clark in English and Alana Florice in Western and “14 & Over” were Samantha Tate in English and Chelsea Keene in Western.

Sunny Palnisano judged English/Dressage events and Kelly Hiemstra judged Western events.
All participants in the Horse Events received ribbons and prizes donated by Delhi Feed & Supply, which is owned by Mary and Larry Gill.

The “High Points” winners will be awarded a belt buckle at the awards luncheon on Feb. 6.
