Lamb Weston sets job fairs

ConAgra Lamb Weston is ready to begin seeking employees for its new sweet potato processing plant in Dunn.

The company will host job fairs in five towns from 2-7 p.m. March 29 through April 2.

The first fair will be held March 29 at the Delhi Civic Center. On March 30, the next fair will be held at the Tallulah-Madison Community Center in Tallulah.

A job far will be held at the Monroe Civic Center March 31 followed by one at River of Life Church in Winnsboro on April 1.

The final job far will be held at the Rayville Civic Center on April 2.

Lamb Weston officials stress these fairs are the only way to apply for a job now.

“This is the way to apply for a job,” Human Resources director Dan Downard said. “Don’t come out to the construction site or our central office. Come to one of the job fairs.”

Officials said positions will vary from general laborers to technicians and equipment operators to skilled trades personnel. All openings are full-time or year-around positions which require rotating shift work and the ability to work seven days a week.

In addition, the Delhi facility will be a tobacco-, alcohol and drug-free workplace.

Officials said it is also possible to get information about openings at the plant by visiting www.lambweston.com/Delhi/employment.jsp and entering “Delhi, LA” in the keyword search box.
