Minutes of the regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, Town of Rayville, State of Louisiana, taken June 14, 2010, at the Kalil Municipal Building at 6:00 p.m. with the following present: Mayor Harry Lewis, Aldermen Jim Adams, Valerie Allen, Johnny Jones, George Tennant; and Town Clerk Lorraine J. Scott.
On a motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Tennant that last month minutes be approved and monthly bills be paid.

Mayor Lewis updated everyone regarding the water lines.

The Town of Rayville has been presented with a proposed ordinance, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF RAYVILLE, LOUISIANA, PROVIDING FOR A DETAILED ESTIMATE OF ITEMS OF LIABILITIES AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2010 TO JUNE 30, 2011.
The Town of Rayville will consider adoption of said ordinance at 6 p.m. on JUNE 28, 2010 at the Town Hall, at which time a public hearing shall be held on said proposed ordinance in accordance with Louisiana Revised Statute 33 :406.

MANGHAM TOWN COUNCIL MEETING - JUNE 14, 2010
The Mangham Town Council met in regular session at the Mangham Town Hall, Mangham, Louisiana, on June 14, 2009, 6:00 pm. Mayor Robert Neal Harwell presided and Alderpersons Zona McKay, Leslie Mizell and John Nat were in attendance. Aldermen Billy Bruce and Perry Fleming were absent. Visitors were Todd Jones and Ann Collins.
The meeting opened with an invocation by John Natt.
Todd Jones, Engineer for McManus Engineering, met with the council to discuss the USDA Sewer Project.
Ann Collins met with the council to inquire if the old police station could be rented. She also reminded the council that there was still a problem with ditches on her street not draining.
On a motion by Natt, seconded by Mizell, the minutes from the last meeting were approved.
The Mangham Police Department reported 68 arrests for May 2010.
On a motion by Natt, seconded Mizell, the Richland Journal was named as the official journal for the Town of Mangham.
On a motion by McKay, seconded by Natt, the 2010-2011 Fiscal Year Budget was approved.
Alderman McKay would like to request that the Richland Parish Police Jury repair pot holes on various streets through out the Town of Mangham.
On a motion by Natt, seconded by McKay, the financial report was approved.
On a motion by Natt, seconded by Mizell, the bills are to be paid.
On a motion by Natt, the council went into executive session.
On a motion by McKay, the meeting returned to regular session.
On a motion by McKay, seconded by Mizell, the meeting was adjourned.

The following correction/addition to minutes of the Tensas Basin Levee District of June 08, 2010 and published June 17, 2010 as follows:
The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Venoy Kinnaird, seconded by Commissioner Rodney Hutchins and passed by vote by the Board of Commissioners of the Tensas Basin Levee District, to-wit:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Tensas Basin Levee District is in receipt of a letter from Mr. Robert S. Wood, chief, Real Estate Division, U. S. Corps of Engineers, dated May 12, 2010, requesting Rights-of-Way Permits be furnished for Ouachita River PL 84-99 bank stabilization and levee rehabilitation, Ouachita and Caldwell Parishes, Louisiana for a twenty-four (24) month period commencing June 14, 2010.
WHEREAS, this Board has obtained the necessary Rights-of-Way Permits for the Ouachita River PL 84-99 bank stabilization and levee rehabilitation, Ouachita and Caldwell Parishes, Louisiana for a twenty four (24) month period commencing June 15, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Tensas Basin Levee District in regular session convened on this 08th day of June, 2010, does hereby make Rights-of-Way available for Ouachita River PL 84-99 bank stabilization and levee rehabilitation, Ouachita and Caldwell Parishes, Louisiana for a twenty-four (24) month period commencing June 15, 2010.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these Rights –of-Way are made available free of all costs to the united States, including damages to timber and crops, if any, and that the Levee District will hold harmless and blameless the United States from any and all damages that may result from this proposed work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the U. S. Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg, Mississippi.
