Kind Words

Worry can rob you of happiness, but kind words will cheer you up. Proverbs 12:25

Happiness is something that is never for away, Its as close as the things we do and we say, so start out today with a smile on your face ad make this old world a happier place.

Here for the week end with Mrs. Dan Cobb, Jerry and Diane was Cheryl C. Kirk and Little Amy from Baton Rouge.

Ben and Emily Thompson and Julianne motored down to Lafayette on Saturday to attend a Jazz concert. They spent the night with Kelsie Cheek and had a real good time.

Menko and Sarah Thompson, Christian, Seth, Jacob, Carly and Peyton, packed their campers and headed for Lake Bruin for a few days. Well I think they had air condition problems, (yes in this heat) come back to get it fixed and decided on another destination.

Here Sunday with Terry and Denise Thompson was Lance and Terrah Johnson, Hannah, Cody and Emmalyn from Shreveport. Well they carried Denise Little Shadow, Gracie back home with them.

Visting for a few days with the Cheek’s the Johnson’s and the Thompson’s was Sandra C. Guest from out Dallas way.

Mrs. Willie Gammill seems to be doing quite well after having eye surgery on both eyes. That lady is quite a “trooper” hope she will continue to improve as she resides at Colonial Manor. We do miss her in our services at Bethel Church.

Happy Birthday wishes this week to: my grandson, Ben Thompson, Jason Brock, Jan Walker, Charlie Dove and Melonnie Rawls on July 29, Nikkie Ezell, Randy Pierce, Patsy Self, Shane Pyles, Judy W. Purcell and Katie Mosley on July 30th, Pauline Stewart, Leslie Richarson on July 31st, Donnie Lowery, Dana Kennedy and Ben Sill on August 1st. Jacquline House, June McCortney, Patricia Silk on August 2nd, Ken Sanders, William Issac on August 3rd, Deline Rawls, Joshua Colsom, Michelle Roberts and Charles Walker on August 4th. May these celebrate many more happy ones!!

Anniversary wishes to: Tina and Roy Cox (25 years) on August 2nd, Connie and Vic Cheek and Emily and Ben Thompson (2 years) on August 3rd. May these share many more happy ones together!
