Ain’t

He was just a little boy, on a week’s first day wondering home from Bible School and dawdling on the way. He scuffed his shoes into the grass he even found a caterpillar. He found a fluffy milkweed pod and blew out all the filler, A bird’s nest in a tree overhead so wisely placed so high, was just another wonder, that caught his eager eye. A neighbor watched his zig zig course and hailed him from the lawn. He asked him where he had been and what was going on, “I’ve been to Bible School”, he said and turned a piece of sod. He picked up a wiggly worm replying, I’ve learned a lot about God in a very fine way, the neighbor said for a boy to spend his time. If you’ll tell me whre God is I’ll give you a brand new dime. Quick as a flash the answer came, I’ll give you a dollar Mister if you can tell me where God Aint!!

Coming by on Wednesday late was Alan Price from West Monroe. Been a while and “chalk one up” I really didn’t recognize him. He works for West Monroe Marble counter tops creations and had been up about Goodwill doing a new home. Was good to see him he says his dad James Price is in poor health.

Juanita Grigsly from West Monroe and my “little girl” Lori G Saxton from Greenville S.C. were here on Wednesday also Lori had come down to stay a couple of weeks with her mom while her mom was recuperating from breast Surgery last week. Our get well wishes and prayers go out to her. Pray she will soon be doing much better, she will be taking some chemo treatment for it.

The Collier sisters, Hilda Clack, Martha Jordan, Kathy Sharplin and Majorie Murphy enjoy get away July 1st-July 3rd they were in Canton Texas taking in the flea Market, had a all and i would love to have been a fly on the wall, Ha!

Joey and Tracy Patrick, Sarah and Josh motored up to Hot Springs, Arkansas for several days vacation last week. It must be nice!

Happy Birthday this week to: Sherry Ingram Hamm on July 23rd, Roy Franklin on July 24th, Monica Hogg, Toby Brock and Pam S. Moore on July 25th, Bonnie S. Parker, Doris Reiger and Dottie Grimbellot on July 26th, Allison Vaughn, Wade Morgan, Nathan Whitstine and Sadie Beth Elkins (2 years) on July 27th, May these celebrate many more.

Anniversary wishes to: Carolyn and Everette Calloway (34 years) on July 24th, Debbie and Kenny Johnston (24 years) on July 26th. Kim and Cliff Mills on July 27th. May these share many more happy years together.

Gracie Ruth Marsh from Shreveport is enjoying some two or three weeks with her “nanna” and “Papaw” Thompson.
