Hazel Malone

Services for Mrs. Hazel Malone, 95, of Start, were held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Start Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.
Interment followed in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was a member of Start Baptist Church. Mrs. Hazel was the last survivor of the original homeowners/settlers in the Crew Lake Project.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jessie B. Malone; son, James Gregory Malone; father, Charles Henry Futch; mother, Jewel Shinpock Futch; seven brothers, Lawerence, Barney, Harmon, Elton, J.D., Sherwood and Forest Futch; and one sister, Christine Kirby.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Malone McElroy; one sister, Flora Nell Futch; one daughter-in-law, Elaine Malone; six grandchildren, Scott McElroy, Kelly McElroy, Gray McElroy, Chris McElroy, Greg Malone, and Ken Malone; eight great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Futch, Ken Malone, Taylor Malone, Scott McElroy, Chris McElroy and Christopher McElroy.
