• Holly Ridge School will host an alumni basketball game at 6 p.m. Feb. 4. Admission is $3. the past graduates of Holly Ridge will play the current basketball team and teachers.
• The 70th annual Northeast Louisiana Stock Show Parade will take place at 10 a.m. Feb. 5 in Delhi.
• Beta Sigma Phi will host its annual gumbo luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Delhi Civic Cente. Cost is $5 with all proceeds to benefit the Relay for Life Survivor’s booth.
• Abundant Life Full Gospel Fellowship Church will host a benefit singing for Everett Black at 7 p.m. Feb. 5.
• Lambda Kappa will host its annual chicken and spaghetti dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Rayville Civic Center. Tickets are $6 with the option to dine in or take out. • The Mangham Power Breakfast is held at 7 a.m. each Wednesday at Mangham United Methodist Church. The power breakfast is held at 7 a.m. each Wednesday for all community youth. • Rayville Masonic Lodge #209 will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 11. The lodge meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
• Abundant Life Fellowship Church on Crew Lake will host a youth service at 7 p.m. Feb. 12.
• Rayville First Assembly of God women’s ministries will host a bake sale Feb. 13 at the Rayville Wal-Mart. Homemade baked items, hot dogs, chili dogs and Frito pies will be available.
• Mangham Dixie Youth Baseball signups will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 13, 14 and 27 and March 6 at Mangham Baptist Church. For more information, call Bryan Weed at 728-2574 or Alan Cupp at 248-3057.
• A benefit for Sam Edmiston will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Delhi Civic Center. The benefit will feature Gospel singing, plate lunches and snacks for sale. Admission is $3 with children under 10 admitted free.
• New Zion Baptist Church, 5 Adcock Road, Rayville will host a Black History Program at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
• New Beginnings Christian Ministries will host its annual Valentine’s Dinner at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Rayville Civic Center. Tickets are $15 per person.
• King David Hopewell Baptist Church will host the Seventh Appreciation Program honoring Pastor and Mrs. James Anderson III at 2 p.m. Feb. 21.
• A Certified Manufacturing Specialist Class will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Richland Career Center in Archibald. The class is designed to prepare students for work in manufacturing. Enrollment is limited to 20 students and students must provide their own transportation. Students should apply and schedule work keys assessment with Northeast Louisiana Workforce Centers, 146 Christian Drive, Rayville. For information, call 728-3348.
• The National Family Caregiver Support Program can provide personal services at no cost to caregivers through the Council on Aging. Please contact the Richland Voluntary COA at 728-2646 or United Home Services at 329-9264 or 888-799-9968 to learn more about the program.
• Rayville High School’s earliest Palmetto issue is the 1927 edition. The school is missing the books for 1929-1941, 1943-1945, 1970, 1974, 1982, 1983, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2002 and 2003. Anyone who would like to donate a copy of any of these years to RHS is asked to call the school at 728-3296.
