Funeral services for Bobby Ray Murphy, 62, of Minden, LA were held Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Brown-Holley Chapel, Rayville, LA with Rev. Trent Allen officiating.

Interment followed at Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Bobby Ray Murphy was born December 22, 1947 and passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Shreveport, LA.

Mr. Murphy was a veteran Air Force. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Leslie “Doc” and Sara Murphy and Brother, Leslie Reginald Murphy.

Survivors include his Wife of 36 Years, Linda Murphy of Minden; Sons, Michael Murphy and wife, Brandy of Oak Grove and Matthew Murphy of Minden; Daughter, Susanne Blades of St. Francisville, LA.; Grandchildren, Kristin, Steven, Bryant and Katie; Sisters, Jo Ann Mercer and husband, Billy of Mangham, Diane Mazoch and husband, David of Schertz, TX.; Brothers, Charles Edward Murphy and wife, Tammy of Winnsboro and Edward Murphy and wife, Ann of Sparkman, AR. Special nephew and niece David Frith and Patrica Till of Jena, LA. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Pallbearers were B.J. Martien, Claude Martien, Donald Wayne Abrams, Jeffery Murphy, Charles Lee Murphy and Tracy Carter.
