Arrest made in AutoZone theft

An AutoZone employee has been arrested for felony theft.
Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson said his office was contacted by the company’s district manager on June 23 in regard the the theft of approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise which had been stolen from the Rayville store. RPD officer Thomas Haire was assigned to investigate.
“During the investigation, it was learned that one of AutoZone’s employees was responsible for the felony theft,” Robinson said.
As a result of the investigation, Haire arrested Brandon Blaylock, 26, of 514 Pine St., Rayville, who admitted to committing the crime.
Blaylock was charged with felony theft and booked into the Richland Parish Detention Center.
