Ten juveniles were arrested after a sheriff’s deputy caught them attempting to vandalize the Delhi Municipal Golf Course.
“Deputy Roy Williams drove up at the golf course about 7 p.m. July 19 and found 10 juveniles vandalizing the property,” Richland Parish Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Terry Thompson said.
The ten juveniles ranged from 10 to 15 years of age. When Williams arrived, they had already done between $1,500 and $2,000 worth of damage to the facility. Thompson said they damaged two golf carts and three storage buildings.
“Seven of the juveniles were charged with trespassing and three were charged with criminal damage to property,” Thompson said.
